This series consists of 81 sympathy letters and flower cards to Doctor Walter Niles for the April, 1929 death of my Great Great Grandmother, Hattie Lindsay Niles, plus 19 wedding invitations (1908- 1936) to my Great Grandparents, Henry and Ruby Throop. Check our the И81 telegram from the Guggenheims. My Great Uncle ,Walter Niles, was a popular doctor for the rich blue bloods of Eastside Manhattan. He was Eleanor Roosevelt’s family physician.
One of the wedding invitations to Henry and Ruby is of Clarence deClercq and Lillian Belle Scholl, who are also my Great Grandparents. Figure that one out! Folks married close back then. Slumpu believes that death is a drag and weddings are fun.
